PAWL — Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-28

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PAWL mobile app and related services ("PAWL", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using PAWL, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PAWL.

1. What PAWL is

PAWL is a tool that helps you create invoices, manage clients, and share payment links so your customers can pay you. PAWL is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter. We do not hold, move, or take custody of your funds. Payments are processed by third parties — primarily Stripe — and settle directly into the account you connect.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use PAWL. PAWL is intended for business and professional use. You are responsible for ensuring your use of PAWL complies with the laws and tax rules that apply to you and your business.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PAWL to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create legal or security risk.

5. Payments and third-party services

To accept payments, you connect a Stripe account through PAWL. Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's own agreements, and Stripe determines payout timing, fees, and eligibility. In-app subscriptions are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, fees, or availability of these third parties, but we will make reasonable efforts to keep the integration working.

6. PAWL Pro subscriptions

7. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you put into PAWL — your invoices, clients, logo, and business details ("Your Content"). You grant PAWL a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the service for you (for example, to render invoices and PDFs and to sync across your devices). You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

8. Disclaimers

PAWL is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. PAWL does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice; invoices you create and any tax handling are your responsibility. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAWL and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenues, or data, arising out of or related to your use of PAWL. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for PAWL in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

10. Termination

You may stop using PAWL and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of PAWL after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
